Triotics Africa is located in South Africa and processes personal information in accordance with applicable South African data protection laws, including the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (“POPIA”).

Important Location Data Notice: The Triotics App and website may access your location data to support location-based features such as supplier discovery, delivery coordination, service availability, order tracking, address verification, and improved LPG refill services.

  • LPG Usage Information: gas levels, cylinder information, order history, refill alerts, usage statistics, delivery tracking information, and refill preferences.
  • Supplier and Driver Data: business details, outlet locations, service areas, driver assignment information, delivery routes, and delivery status information.
  • Payment and Transaction Data: payment status, order amounts, invoices, receipts, and transaction references. We do not store full card details unless handled securely by an authorized payment provider.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to operate the Triotics platform and provide our LPG monitoring and refill services.

  • Provide real-time LPG level monitoring and refill alerts.
  • Process and manage refill orders through the Triotics App and website.
  • Connect you to registered LPG suppliers and authorized drivers.
  • Use location data to identify nearby suppliers, confirm delivery addresses, support delivery tracking, verify service areas, and improve service availability.
  • Use website location data to show relevant service areas, improve location-based content, support customer inquiries, and understand demand by region.
  • Send order updates, delivery notifications, refill reminders, and important service messages.
  • Improve our services, customer support, system performance, website performance, and user experience.
  • Detect, prevent, and investigate fraud, unauthorized access, misuse, or security incidents.
  • Communicate updates, support information, and marketing messages where you have provided consent.
  • Comply with legal, regulatory, tax, safety, and operational obligations under South African law.

3. Location Data and App/Website Permissions

The Triotics App and website may request or access location data. Location data helps us provide location-based LPG services and improve the accuracy, safety, and convenience of our platform.

  • To show nearby LPG suppliers, service providers, or available delivery areas.
  • To help confirm your delivery address for LPG refill orders.
  • To support driver dispatch, delivery tracking, and route coordination.
  • To verify whether your location falls within an active Triotics Africa service area.
  • To improve website functionality, regional service information, platform reliability, and user experience.
  • To assist with safety, fraud prevention, order verification, and service quality where required.

You can control app location permissions through your device settings. You can also control website location access through your browser settings. If you disable location access, some app or website features, including supplier discovery, delivery tracking, address verification, regional service availability, or location-based services, may not work correctly.

We do not sell your location data. We only use and share location data as described in this Privacy Policy and only where necessary to provide our services, comply with the law, protect users, or operate the Triotics platform.

4. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely using encrypted cloud infrastructure. We use HTTPS, restricted access controls, authentication safeguards, monitoring tools, and regular security checks to protect against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure.

If a data breach occurs, we will take reasonable steps to notify affected users and the relevant South African regulatory authority where required by applicable law.

5. Sharing of Information

We only share your information where necessary to deliver, support, protect, or improve our services.

  • With LPG suppliers and authorized drivers to fulfill refill orders and deliveries.
  • With technology partners who host, maintain, secure, or support our systems under confidentiality and data protection obligations.
  • With payment, logistics, mapping, communication, analytics, or support partners where required to operate the service.
  • With regulators, courts, law enforcement, or legal authorities when required by law.

Location data from the app or website may be shared with suppliers, drivers, logistics partners, mapping providers, or system service providers only where necessary to process orders, coordinate delivery, verify service areas, provide app or website functionality, or support customer service.

We do not sell or rent your personal information to anyone.

6. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as long as necessary to provide our services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, and maintain business records.

When you close your account, personal data is deleted or anonymized within 90 days unless we are required to retain it by law, regulation, tax obligations, dispute resolution, fraud prevention, or legitimate business needs.
